It was the biggest and glitziest show of the week last night at Olympia, where Dame Vivienne Westwood showed her a/w09 Red Label collection.

Tickets to the event were mock school report cards, and the collection was based on English institutions and a rock'n'roll updates of jolly hockey sticks. There were crested tweed blazers, simple grey shift dresses and even a provocative interpretation of a rugby kit, all with done with characteristic irreverance and elegant enthusiasm.

Models included Jo Wood, cast as headmistress and resplendent in a red andblue academic gown, as well as Londoners Jourdan Dunn, Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal as the teacher's pet, coolest girl in school and wild child respectively. Westwood skipped down the catwalk to cheers and applause.
